CEDIN – International Law Center
CEDIN is a non-profit civil association aimed on developing International Law. Its main activities comprise the production of legal works and the coordination of events that favor discussions of up-to-date issues in the international scenario. Thus, it seeks to set up a dialogue between the Academy and the civil society, contributing to promote ethics, peace, citizenship, human rights and all the universal values consecrated by International Law and so essential to the establishment of a righteous and balanced international community.
CEDIN and its associates held important international events such as Congresses and Seminars. Likewise, the Center has coordinated several profound studies on specific areas, such as international jurisdictions and international terrorism. Finally, CEDIN, along with its associates, is responsible for the International Law Winter Course organization, a pioneer event in Brazil, which sets the country up as one of the International Law world centers.
Another subject worth pointing out is the CEDIN Advisory Council, a board of renowned Brazilian and foreign professors and professionals of the field that attest the distinction of the Center.
Facilities
CEDIN is located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Its facilities are placed on the Savassi precinct, an easy access area with exceptional infrastructure.
The office is equipped as a modern space that favors to render a high quality work to the community. CEDIN also has a library with more than 1,000 volumes in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. Although most of the books are about International Law, the Center reckons on several publications on related fields of interest that are vital for the research on the area. It is important to quote that the library is open to the community.
