| CEDIN
– International Law Center CEDIN
is a non-profit civil association which aims at International
Law’s development. Its main activity comprises
the production of legal works and the coordination of
events that favor the discussion of up-to-date issues
in the international scenario. Thus, it seeks to set
up a dialogue between academics and civil society, contributing
to a greater perspective in order to promote ethics,
peace, citizenship, human rights and universal values
consecrated by International Law, essential to the establishment
of a more righteous and balanced international community.
CEDIN and its associates held
important international events such as Congresses and
Seminars. Likewise, the Center has coordinated several
profound studies on theme areas, such as international
jurisdictions and international terrorism. Finally,
CEDIN, along with its associates, is the organizer of
the International Law Winter Course, a pioneer event
in Brazil. This event sets up Brazil as one of the worldwide
centers of International Law.
Another subject worth pointing
out is the CEDIN Advisory Council, a board of renowned
Brazilian and foreign professors and professionals of
International Law that attest the distinction of the
Center.
Facilities
CEDIN is located
in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in the Savassi precinct,
an easy access area with exceptional infrastructure.
The office
has modern equipment with excellent facilities which
favor the work and quality rendered to the community.
And besides, CEDIN also has a library with more than
1,000 volumes in Portuguese, English and French. Most
of the works are about International Law, nevertheless
the Center reckons on several publications of other
sciences and fields of interest related to the main
theme of our work and that are vital for the study and
research in the area. It is important to quote that
the library is open to the community.
